Dallas Running Club
Since 1969, the Dallas Running Club has helped runners "stay connected, motivated, and supported." Founder Tal Morrison established the club after retiring. To draw members, he would stop runners at the lake and ask for their contact information. Today, the club continues to welcome runners and walkers of all abilities. It offers eight races a year and experienced coaches and pace leaders who will guide you to your goal race.
North Texas Trail Runners
At North Texas Trail Runners, it's all about "fun, fellowship, and supporting each other." The group began in 1996 with 11 runners. Today, it continues its mission of enhancing trail running through activities and organizational programs. Member benefits include club runs, discount codes for local races, as well as a sponsored athlete program.
Plano Pacers Running Club
The Plano Pacers Running Club was established in 1978 by a group of 30 runners and the Plano Parks and Recreation department. Now, it boasts over 700 active members. The mission is to promote jogging and distance running, and all ages and abilities can join in on the fun. The club hosts a run on the last Saturday of every month at Bob Woodruff Park. It starts at 8:00 a.m. and includes overall/age group awards and post-race refreshments. On the second Tuesday of each month, bring out your competitive side during their prediction runs. They're held at 7:00 p.m. at the Schimelpfenig Library.
