There's no doubt about it--chocolate is good for the soul. It's incredibly enjoyable in nearly every form--chocolate ice cream on a hot summer day, hot cocoa on a cold winter day, and a giant chocolate bar for those rough days at work. You can celebrate this wondrous sweet in September at the 2019 Dallas Chocolate Festival, located just a few minutes from your apartments in downtown Dallas. 

HISTORY

Ten years ago, an innovative chocolate-themed dinner was held in honor of several bean-to-bar chocolatiers who wanted to share the wonder of craft chocolate with the whole country. That dinner prompted the idea of a larger celebration for the entire community, and the Dallas Chocolate Festival was born. 

The festival is hosted by DallasChocolate.org, an organization created to educate food lovers about the entire chocolate experience. The first festival in 2009 was a humble event, featuring only two chocolate makers. Now the festival has grown to include dozens of chocolatiers alongside a number of innovative demonstrations and workshops.

MAIN FESTIVAL

Get ready for two days of chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate! Visit the main festival and indulge in decadent samples while browsing the incredible confections available for purchase. You'll be amazed by the extraordinary chocolate creations of more than 60 artisans.

In addition to the delicious chocolate samples and shopping, you can enjoy a mouthwatering snack from local food trucks. Learn secrets and tips to creating your own amazing chocolate concoctions at compelling lectures and get involved in some hands-on demonstrations.

The main festival takes place on September 7 & 8 from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with entry times at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. Valet and lot parking is available. Tickets are $35 for adults and $7 for children ages 4-11.

VIP PARTY

Kick the weekend off right with the VIP Party. This pre-festival celebration features refreshing cocktails, delicious appetizers, and VIP goodie bags. What's the highlight of this party? The chocolate fountain, of course!

The VIP Party is September 6 from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Tickets are $75 per person and valet parking is included.
