Go for a Run on These Scenic Trails in Dallas

Running is a great way to explore nature while building your strength and improving your focus at the same time. If you want to lace up your running shoes, the area is home to dozens of trails that range in difficulty from easy to difficult. Check out these spots near our Dallas high rise apartments:

Santa Fe Trail

The Santa Fe Trail connects White Rock Lake to Fair Park and Deep Ellum. It follows an old railroad line and runs through entertainment districts and some of the city's most architecturally significant neighborhoods. The trail spans 4.5 miles, and its mission is to bring residents together while promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Bachman Lake Trail

Bachman is an off-road route surrounding the sparkling water. Spanning over three miles, it offers an up-close look at the planes arriving and departing at Love Field Airport. A view of the lake is enjoyed throughout, and sixteen exercise stations are also found along the trail.

Katy Trail

The Katy Trail is a well-known trail that runs along the old Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad path. It's partially shaded and features views of the Dallas skyline. There's a separate area for cyclists and those on foot. Mile markers are embedded in the concrete trail, making it easy to track distance.

After your run, enjoy a meal at the Katy Trail Ice House. This open-air beer garden draws a crowd and has over fifty beers on tap. The chefs prepare made-from-scratch meals, and there's something for everyone. Choices include jalapeno jack burgers, breakfast tacos, and seared ahi tuna sandwiches.

Running is just one of the outdoor activities you can enjoy as a resident of our downtown Dallas apartments. If you're considering calling our community home, please contact our leasing staff. They would love for you to see firsthand all we have to offer.
