Playwright Pub

Step into the city's newest Irish pub to discover hundreds of whiskeys and dozens of beers. Playwright calls the Arts District home, and it's where everyone knows your name. The owner hails from Ireland. He offers friendly service, and a warm atmosphere featuring wood accents, dark green walls, and televisions so sports fans can watch the big game. Offerings include Galway Bay Mussels, bangers & mash, and Howth beer-battered fish & chips (a customer favorite).

The Irishman Pub

Formerly known as The Staggering Irishman, The Irishman Pub reopened in April. Its lively setting draws a crowd, especially on game day. There are several fifty-inch plasma screen televisions and a 120-inch projector screen that show soccer, rugby, and other sports. Visitors can also challenge their friends to a game of pool. Dinner offerings include corned beef & cabbage, fish & chips, and shepherd's pie. Don't forget to try the Bailey's Irish Cream cheesecake for dessert. 

The Crafty Irishman 

The Crafty Irishman is a small gathering place featuring familiar faces, bottomless taps, and enticing dishes. It's open daily until 2:00 a.m., and is a favorite late-night dining destination. Guests can enjoy their time in the quaint dining room or on the patio with street views and umbrellas for shade. Meals include Uncle Jack's shepherd's pie, corned beef, and Irish stew. They pair well with the Emerald Old Fashioned.
