Enjoy a Night Out with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra
Internationally renowned, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra offers an entertaining musical experience that's not soon forgotten. It's home to dozens of skilled musicians who will have you tapping your toes. They boast an extensive repertoire and perform within an easy drive from our Dallas high-rise apartments.
Here are just three of the musicians you'll see on the stage at the DSO:
Bing Wang
Born in Shanghai, Bing Wang began playing the violin at the age of four. He later studied at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and went on to earn a master's degree at the University of Southern California. Bing enjoys entertaining audiences near and far. He feels the music and has played solo and chamber performances throughout the United States and abroad. When Bing isn't on stage, you might find him spending time with his two children.
Willa Henigman
A long-time member, Willa Henigman, joined the DSO in 1996. As an active chamber musician, she often plays the oboe at the concert series held at the Nasher Sculpture Center and Dallas Museum of Art. In her free time, Willa enjoys sewing, writing poetry, and attending plays.
Jeffrey Hood
Jeffrey Hood became interested in the cello at the age of two. Improvising, he used a toy guitar with a chopstick for a bow. He started lessons the following year and has never lost his passion for playing. Jeffrey eventually earned a master's degree at the Cleveland Institute of Music. He went on to become a fellow with the New World Symphony and has performed with the DSO since 2011.
